AREA LODGING

The town of Livingston combines small town rustic charm and world class amenities with a twist of historic quirkiness. With just under 8,000 residents, Livingston is rich with distinctive cultures; a colorful railroad history, the original gateway to Yellowstone National Park, fly fishing mecca, historically picturesque and preserved downtown with vintage neon signs, more artists and writers per capita than anywhere in the state, ranch supply hub, eclectic boutiques, relaxed hospitality, a thriving theatre community, enthusiastic recreationists and a restaurant and bar scene that serves all tastes from robust to refined. It is nestled along the majestic Yellowstone River surrounded by four stunning mountain ranges ranges and is an ideal home base for trips to Yellowstone National Park (just 55 miles away). Livingston is conveniently located between Bozeman and Billings.

The historic downtown feels like an authentic old west movie set with brick storefronts and vintage neon signs, but the shops, restaurants, bars and breweries are distinctive and vibrant.

Livingston's lodging options are diverse, ranging from the historic Murray Hotel - Anthony Bourdain's pick for top ten hotels in the world - to brand new luxury lodging, family budget options, and small Western themed motels. The lodging hub off the Interstate 90 is adjacent to ethnic restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops, an urgent care and physical therapy center, veterinarian clinic, dog boarding services, casinos, a liquor store, gas stations and familiar chain restaurants.

We recommend booking a few extra days to enjoy Livingston's year-round entertainment, wonderland of epic recreation and cultural delights.
